Apparently the pollen count for Birch trees where I live is really high and I'm feeling pretty lousy. It's either allergies or I picked up a cold somewhere. Give me a few days and I will find you some eye candy. Right now all I want to do is go to bed. I have to kick this quick. I have my mother coming to visit for a week and I know that she's my Mom, but her days of taking care of me are supposed to be over. ;)

 Spent the day with my daughter looking for backyard furniture. We now have a new table, four chairs, an umbrella that tilts, two wrought iron planters and some lanterns. I should have a birthday more often. My son asked me what I wanted and I said planters. He heard plant and now I have this massive orchid plant and not a clue what to do with it. Must read up lol... 

Off to bed now because I'm exhausted.

I am presently working on a  Squidoo lens aka blog about Ouija Boards and I thought that offering a few personal stories would be the perfect addition. If anyone has any memories of the board, please share. :) It is still "A Work In Progress"  stage, but it's pretty much done except for some anecdotes that I hope that lots of you will share. :) Can't wait to read your stories. 

This is a thorn in my side for as long as I can remember. There is ALWAYS something on my wish list... so to try to get a handle on it, I started writing about it. Maybe it will help someone else too.

I'm over whatever caused me to feel so horrid last night and I'm ready to hit the mall today. The weather seems to be improving and I'm just itching to go looking at backyard furniture. I went for a walk in the field yesterday (behind all of our neighbor's houses) and we really need to get a move on. There's some major work being done and ours looks pretty bare.

And for some reason it did not agree with me. I'm feeling about six shades of green right now. And I didn't even cook it. For those of you who know me... I hate cooking. Baking is another things altogether. I could bake all day!  Luckily I have a husband and a daughter who love to cook.

 Spent the day baking muffins and baking soda biscuits. It was just one of those days when you want to do something different and baking it was going to be. I made Raspberry White Chocolate Muffins and I got a thumbs up from my daughter, but next time make the chunks of white chocolate bigger. I used a block of white chocolate, broke it up, and  then chopped them up too small. Next time I will double the size. What would I do without the bulk food store?? So much cheaper than the supermarket. And just in case you were wondering.. it's a super easy recipe. The raspberries came frozen in a tub and I simply scooped out what I needed and put it back into the freezer for next time. Pretty decadent for a whole lot less than you would pay in a store. 

Breakfast is looking rather promising ;)

Just thought that I would get you ladies thinking about  Mother's Day. Have you decided what you want if you are a Mom or what you are going to get your Mom this year?? I thought about asking for a magazine subscription, but I don't know if we will be here for entire year, so I'm going to look for something else... the magazine rack would look nice in my office, the bubble bath stuff I can always use more of... the foot spa I got for Christmas a couple of years ago. My own Mom... now that's going to be tough. She is in a tiny little apartment now so I'm going to have to go with something that won't take up any space. What do you get a woman who has everything and no space for something new?? I still have a couple of weeks right??

I  think that I have either found my Mother's Day Present or my birthday present. I picked out two really gorgeous planters last Friday while shopping with my daughter and guess what I just happened  to see in the garage. They were tucked into a corner which I really shouldn't have seen, but trust me... I was instantly drawn to them. They are sort of wrought iron stands with those moss baskets ready to fill with soil and flowers. My daughter pointed them out to me because they won't kill the grass. The only thing that will touch the grass is one ring. I think she was waiting to see what I would say... and I loved them. Didn't buy them on the spot because the line-ups were horrendous. So, something to start decorating the back yard. I guess a little at a time. 

Okay, time to get back to work. I haven't found anything to feature today at Shopaholics Daily. I've spent the whole morning tidying up the kitchen and making the house look as if no one lives here. And thanks to all of you who sent good vibes. I sure hope they help this afternoon and someone falls in love with our house.

We have another house showing tomorrow and I would so like to get this over with. If enough of you send positive thoughts, just maybe we can sell this house. Okay, so I can hope. The housing market has ground to a halt up here. Just have to make sure that the house doesn't still smell like salmon. That's what we had for dinner (I hated it) but both dh and dd love the stuff. Can't figure out what they see in it... just smelled up the house. If it wasn't for all of those omega fatty acids... or whatever it is that is so good for you I would eat something else. Tomorrow night... it's pizza. Not as healthy I know, but it sure tastes good.  

Signing off for the night. I'm dead beat.  Hoping to sleep like a log tonight.

 Been awake since 4 a.m this morning. Really yucky mood today and that's probably the reason. It's cold too. Okay, I'm finished whining. Go check out these killer shoes... and Flicks for Chicks... I think that's how I'm going to spend my afternoon. ;) ... watching a movie, the shoes I am only drooling over. Love what he did to the backs.

 I picked it up quite by accident. I have always like Aveeno, but I didn't stop long enough to realize that I had picked up Aveeno Creamy Moisturizing Oil... it supposed to be a body moisturizer but seeing that I had run out of facial moisturizer, I thought that I would give it a try until I could pick up a proper facial moisturizer. Guess what... the stuff is amazing and not greasy at all. It absorbs really well and my skin isn't oily in the morning... which is generally the case. And, it has the most gorgeous almond scent.

IT'S GORGEOUS!! Just thought that I would pass that along. ;)

I think that I'm going to sit outside today and simply sip a Margarita and watch the birds.  

That's the time someone wanted to view the house this morning and my husband wanting to be accomodating, said that it was okay. Well, the house was ready for them at 8:30 and they showed up at 10 a.m. I went for a walk for about ten minutes and when I checked, they were gone. I don't know how long it would take for  someone to wander all through the house, but the market even up here has ground to a halt. We might be here a lot longer than we thought.

Oh well. What will be, will be.

Spent all day looking for patio furniture. Everything I wanted was sold out! Is everyone in need of furniture suddenly or is it the fact that we have had such a miserable winter that everyone wants to spend as much time outside as possible??

On the other hand, it does mean that I get to go shopping again. ;) Amazing how I can turn an annoying day into one that's not so bad lol...

Yes, I know that it's early but I do it year round and I know a certain someone that collects stuff like this and if I don't buy it for her, she won't buy it herself. ;) But it does make Christmas shopping easier for me.

I feel like baking today. Everything is pretty much done now and if someone calls to see the house, it's ready to go. But that's just the time when no one will call. Good thing or bad thing... can't decide lol... so maybe I will just bake this afternoon. I don't have these cookie cutters, but if you are in a SPRINGTIME MOOD, they should look awfully good sitting on the counter. And just think of all the different ways you could decorate them. That's the fun part. ;)

Hubby puttered around outside while Britt and I walked to the park. Apparently they stayed about 20 minutes but have no idea if they loved or hated our house. Thanks to everyone who commented. Indeed, what is meant to happen will.

This afternoon at 2:30, we have our first house viewing. Not sure whether to tell you to keep your fingers crossed for us or not.  I really don't know which way I want this to go. And it's really doing my head in!
